This four hundred acre property in western Howard County develops a new home site next to an old farm pond. Views of encroaching development were screened and within the protected rural farm landscape a garden was planned. The challenging topography yielded a multi-level garden for both intimate groups and large scale entertaining. Looking outward from the house and garden, panoramic vistas were shaped by walls and planting to blend the architecture to the land.
